#MommyMondays: Things I Wish I Knew To Register For (Or Shouldn't Have Registered For) + Other #MommyLife Hacks

A Personal Product Review For My Fellow First-Time Mommies

Before I begin my first review, I must give a major shoutout to my hubby for being the best! His job isn’t just finished when he gets off work. He comes home and does his part as a husband and father. It’s very important to have a support system! Remember: it takes TWO to tango.

One of the first things that I needed immediately after giving birth was a nursing cover. For mommies planning on breastfeeding and expecting visitors during their stay at the hospital, the Boppy nursing cover is easy to throw on, folds into a compact pouch, and gives you full frontal coverage! It also has a structured neckline so you can see your baby while nursing. This is available at Target, Amazon and buybuy BABY!

I originally had a nursing/car seat cover which most moms opt for because it’s a two-in-one, right? Wrong, well for me at least. I struggled having to get it over my shoulders and arms quickly while BJ was wailing for milk. And as you can see in the picture below, I gave up and left it around my neck. Also, I don’t know how I feel about my car seat being on the floors and in public spaces with the cover having direct contact and then placing it over my baby.

However, it does work perfectly as a car seat cover. The baby can breathe and not be touched (or seen, if that’s what you prefer).

My recommendation for a car seat cover would be UPPAbaby’s Cabana (below). This product allows others to see your baby while not being able to touch them at the same time. It also repels insects and rain while others get to enjoy looking at your sweet baby’s face. This is available on Amazon and buybuy BABY!

Writer's Note: This is a personal review based on me and my family's experience. Please keep in mind that ALL babies are different, as well as our bodies.
