Ocean deep is the pain within my heart.
Yet, our love will never drown.

Self-sacrificial love. Pure selflessness.
You realize you have never truly lived until you have given this kind of love away.
What was it like to experience this pure love? To touch, feel, smell and live in this love? Every day could have been a lifetime, one thousand years.
Forever and always will I love you.
Always and forever will we be connected.
When I look at the stars in the sky shining extremely bright, I know you are having fun up there. Best of friends, you and I.
Soul mates. Nothing is truly lost that has been loved. For if it were only love that was the currency for you to stay, you would never leave. My love would wrap you for eternity. The truth is, there is my love: united in your arms. Is this what Christ meant when he said nothing can separate us from His love? I understand. There is truth and I know what that means now.
What a gift---to understand a small sliver of how God loves us. He created mothers so I know He understands how he wove our hearts and what this pain and joy feels like. So I write this poem and think of you. My heart sings for you. Until we meet again.
